Complex varietal aromas of lime zest, fresh herbs and jalapeño
join delicious flavors of grapefruit and citrus that give way to a
rich texture and a crisp finish.
Winemaker Notes
Since 1980, Kenwood has been renowned as one of the top
producers of Sauvignon Blanc in California.
The 2010 growing season began with a wet spring followed by a
cool and extended growing season that produced excellent and
well-balanced fruit. Our Reserve Sauvignon Blanc was harvested in
mid September and the fruit was brought to the winery for pressing
and fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Afterwards, the wine was
aged in neutral French oak upright casks. These casks allow the
wine to gently finish fermentation without imparting any oak
character to the wine. The wine has concentrated varietal character
with subtle notes of tropical fruit.
